This yummy photograph was taken in 2003, but every November, the International Obidos Chocolate Festival in Lisbon, Portugal, runs a plethora of chocolatey events including master classes in how to concoct various smoothly sweet confections, to fashion shows fashioned from well, chocolate.
The festival runs from 2nd November to 12th in all, though many of the main events occur from the 7th. According to tourist information, it can be quite hard to find accommodation unless you book in advance - try Visit Portugal for help in finding a bed.
Fairytale castles made of white chocolate and Inca statues bronzed with gold-tinged cocoa powder sounds pure heaven for any chocoholic who needs more than Cadbury’s to stay happy. So if you do manage to find your way over there, please report back and make me jealous!
This is how art should be!
