Okay, I’ve just discovered something by
tuning in. This is nothing to do with getting rid of the crackle while watching
What I’ve found out is that I liked the
broccoli in my lunch more than the pasta! The spinach tortellini was a bit on
the soggy side (like a wet weekend in
My phone rang while I was eating and I got rather annoyed, I was almost in a meditative state I was thinking about what I was chewing so much. BC is not just about giving yourself permission to have all the foods you didn’t used to, but also about finding out what you really like and really don’t like. Do you desire a food just because it’s forbidden and you’ve never really bothered to discover if you actually enjoy it? Do you eat diet foods just because they’re low in fat and do they taste any good?
I chucked out my Sveltesse ‘0% everything’ yogurt yesterday – it was bloody awful – can’t believe I ever ate crap like that and am not going to do so again (hear the stamp of feet and thud of dummy). But I know it’s not going to be easy – after only a few days of trying to free myself from rules I’m wondering if I’ve put on weight. And I think I’m still making subconscious choices with my food based on calorie/fat values. But I also know that part of this process is acknowledging these things and making note of them.
Nice blog. I'll be adding it to my blogroll. Thanks for visiting mine.
I discovered as an adult that I, too, like brocoli. A lot. Cooked or uncooked. It doesn't like me quite as much as I like it, but what the heck. :)
I'll be interested in your progress here. I could stand to take off 10-15 pounds and maybe I'll find inspiration here.

It's been a very chocolate day. I'm blaming hormones. But I feel as if I put on 5 lbs today alone. So I'm rooting for you.
