Blueberries are in season and not expensive at the moment, and they are so full of health-giving vitality and nutrients that I try to eat them whenever possible. And I eat bananas in some form or other almost daily - they have got to be the world's most versatile fruit!
This is an easy, healthy smoothie that will make you feel alive. I love the touch of lime - just enough for a zesty flavour without making you suck in your cheeks to give your mouth a resemblance of a cat's bottom...
This recipe is for one person, for a large glass of smoothie.
Blueberry Banana Lime Zinger Smoothie
½ cup / 65g blueberries
1 tablespoon ground linseed (flaxseed)
3 pitted dates
1 teaspoon fresh lime juice
225ml / 1 cup almond milk
1. Place everything in your blender and whizz until smooth! Garnish with a lime slice.
