Breaking the chain: by a friend who wants to stop eating compulsively

Breaking the chain is the new blog site of a friend of mine, Linda Jones, who is looking for ways to overcome her compulsive eating disorder. Linda has two young twin girls, and she's determined not to pass 'diet mentality' onto them. She is ready to find a way out of her disorder and is looking for support.

Linda, a fabulous journalist as well as wonderful PR person, recently wrote an article on chaotic eating - that is very worth reading - that she has just posted to her blog.

I think Linda would welcome your support and goodwill - so please do share it with her.

Hi Andrea,
Thank you for your kind words and for your support and thoughtful response to my piece. I started this blog nearly a year ago, the last time I decided that "enough was enough" and here I am all those months on, heavier still. I feel quite pathetic really that this is such an issue to me when there are people having to cope with such adversity in their lives and here's me, moaning because I am fat. A lot of people would say - get over it, just stop eating so much - how difficult can it be? I wish so very much I could find a way of proving them right.

Linda, don't be down on yourself and there is no need to 'feel pathetic' - you just need to work a few things out! There is a lot of support out there as well, so do use it. Best of luck on the getting back on your journey again! xx
