Just when you're making progress...
...you feel like you've suddenly become obsessed by the whole weight issue again!
Well, a bit of an exaggeration I suppose, but I weighed myself this morning, didn't like what I saw, and went into a sudden thought-mode of 'how shall I get rid of these extra few pounds?'
I admitted a few posts ago that the scale had come back into my life, even though I threw out my old one when I decided to ditch dieting. And now I can see why I got rid of them in the first place.
However, I'm only human, and my path isn't a straight line. But at the same time, now I've become slightly attached to them again, I can't imagine throwing them out. I'm happy with them as somehting of a security blanket, to keep me in 'check'.
Which does, of course, go against intuitive eating principles (I'm supposed to be trusting my body to keep me in check, after all!).
Okay, so I need a plan to fit in with my theme for this year of Positive Attitude.
1. I will go back to my Beyond Chocolate book and remind myself of what I'm hoping to achieve.
2. I will read over my Multi-media course literature and maybe try a few of the exercises.
3. I will give myself a break, and accept that undoing a lifetime of dieting habits may take longer than 8 months.

Andrea,
I am working with a personal fitness trainer and have been told that if you exercise you will raise your metabolic rate, even when resting.
I lost 7 pounds in 3 weeks and I eat a fair amount of chocolate and snacks.
I eat a Kit Kat before I train, which he is not happy about but I don't care. I like Kit Kats.
