My daily bread...

Imgp0765
...or not quite daily as the case may be, but I do indulge every couple of mornings with a slice of bread. And the breakfast you see in the picture is my very own of yesterday. A common breakfast for me nowadays, although I tend to eat very little in the way of carbohydrates, and definitely not refined carbs.

However, I will not deny myself bread all the time! I have it when I really fancy it. And when I do have it, I don't have just any slice of bread. It is either thickly buttered toast (yum) or fried in bacon fat and lard (even yummier). And yes, I still have lost nearly a stone since Christmas.

So how can a girl eat such a lardy greasy spoon fry-up and still be slim, you may ask? Well, after eating that lot I don't put anything in my mouth again until at least 2pm, my blood sugar is so steady I don't even think about food for ages!

As well, I know eating the fat without the carbs helps. And do remember, I gave up the carbs to fight my yeast problem, but it seems to have had a welcome side effect of weight loss! The other welcome side effect seems to be that I'm much more control of my whole approach to food and eating - further aided by what I've learned since reading Beyond Chocolate.

I know I can have anything I want when I TRULY want it, and I have chosen to eat a diet that is mainly low in anything processed at all, but high in natural foods and fats. This suits me fine, and what's more, my sinus problem seems to have cleared up!

I have discovered that I don't really even like bread that much since reading BC and listening to my body
